Enjoy The Journey Not The Destination

Enjoy The Journey Not The Destination

Many of this Blog’s readers have contacted me over the last several days with questions about MMR and its future. I have responded to each and every one personally, answering every question as directly as possible without disclosing any non-public information or information that would impact our relationships with strategic partners.  Soon we will announce our biggest quarter, and despite the challenges of growth in this very difficult economic climate, this is a great Company with great people who work around the clock and care. I am proud of them all.

On Tuesday and Wednesday this past week Jack Zwissig MMRGlobal Director (and my former Lifespring trainer of nearly 35 years), spent two days in a motivational management team building session with all employees of the Company.  In 1983 Jack and I were in Las Vegas. I was known to occasionally play Blackjack. At some point in the evening (down about $23,000 a lot of money even for me at that time), Jack came over tapped me on the shoulder and looking at my beads of sweat said “Enjoy the Journey – Not the Destination”.  One hour later with $60,000 in winnings in my pocket we went to dinner.

Nothing is over until you decide it is over. At that point we take our losses like a “mensch” or celebrate our winnings with excitement. I believe there are a lot of winnings on the table for MMR and its future and I hope all our employees, vendors and stakeholders will be part of them.  At MMR the game is nowhere near over. The game has barely begun. This is an early stage high growth company with great products and services in most opportune investment segment today, specifically Health IT.

I am often asked about my personal life and how I work twenty hours a day and keep it all together. Every morning when I get up there are two signs I stare at the first on my home and office desk;

“To Be Average Scares The Hell Out of Me”.

The second is a poem entitled “Don’t Quit” which has been with me for over 40 years.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And when you want to smile but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but just don’t quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns

As every one of us sometimes learns.

And many a failure turns about,

When we might had won had we stuck it out;

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you can never tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit-

It’s when things seem worse that you must not quit!

I am grateful for all the support I get from so many at MMR. Things are never as they seem-look at the cover story and photos in today’s Beverly Hills Courier (http://www.bhcourier.com) about the recent Thalians event benefitting Operation Mend, and think about what it would be like if you were one of the soldiers. They clearly never quit.

    Note to Trolls: I am Bob, but I am not Lorsch. I buy the stock because I use the product (almost every day), and I find it to be a very valuable and useful tool.
